=============================
lyrics:
It lingers in your eyes, I even feel it in mine but I can’t reach you, I can’t reach your side
We dreamt through it the same like a perfect poetic refrain over and over and over again
I think I just want time to stand still so I can feel you and what’s real around here
I don’t know why I’m holding you back but how can I be sure what’s real in the end?
Even though the summer’s gone and you moved on with your old love
Even though this page is gone we’ll still be friends forever long
I think I just want time to stand still but how I can be sure what’s real around here?
I’m still around, I’m still here for you

Under the Radar magazine’s online home is premiering the brand new live video for Casey Shea’s “It Is What It Is,” featuring Rosi Golan on background vocals.  Read the lovely blurb and watch the video here. The song is from Casey’s latest album, In Your Head.

You can also see the accompanying video for Rosi’s “Say It Anyway” from Lead Balloon (ft. Casey on background vocals) over at the Family Records Facebook page.

You can find both songs and albums on our store: “It Is What It Is” and In Your Head here, and “Say It Anyway” and Lead Balloon here

Want to hear that song from the season finale of Parenthood during Sarah and Mark’s not-so-long break up (where they talk about kids and all that jazz)?

(Answer: Yes. Yes you do. And it’s currently available as a free download.)

To my @handssounds friends: it’s been a long time coming. cc @smallplatesrecs. Still remember our first MySpace exchange. Congrats!!

We’re happy as clams today to announce a collaboration that’s been in the works for a while now. After seeing Hands play IGIF’s Floating Fest at CMJ 2011 (and then hunting them down for a few more of their shows) we knew we had to put something out, and we’re thrilled that that something is Hands’ debut Massive Context EP.

Yesterday Filter premiered the new video video for “Warm Night Home”.  Check it out here and hit up Hands’ Soundcloud page for a sneak peek at a few songs/demos from the EP.

Massive Context drops April 10th.  Artwork, preorder and mp3s coming soon!

Press:

“…big claps, echoed vocals, massively layered melodies and driving beats set Hands into a category that is anything but “just another Los Angeles band.” - FILTER

“‘Best of LA.‘  Definitely one of the most interesting new bands coming out of the City of Angels.” - THE DELI

“There are often intangibles with bands, when you like them. You just know it. You can just like. We found that Hands does that to us and will likely do that for you too.” - DAYTROTTER

Bon Iver and Sean Carey. Thx, @SunsetRearview.

Sarah Winters strips down popular rap songs to bare bones piano and vocals on her newest EP.
